I’ve just thrown a load of magazines out for recycling and after seeing this, I’m thinking maybe I should have kept them and got creative; Nike have just released the Women’s Premium Print Pack, a limited edition set of three shoe styles made using shredded magazines. I think its a great idea for putting good use to all the trash you can read in those glossy mags, and fits well with the Papercraft trend I’ve been seeing a lot of taking us into Spring/Summer 2011. Check the close ups out below.
The three styles: Flash Macro Premium, the Blazer Mid Premium, and the Air Rift Premium.
While the shoes have regular soles, strings, and other components, the main material used in each is a kind of laminated, stitched fabric created from old glossies. They’d look pretty neat on, especially like the Blazer Mid.
