I just came across this hypnotising video on Random Acts, a short-form daily arts strand on Channel 4. A collaboration between Karl Sadler & Chris Saunders, Process V3 explores overseas film making. Dancers in Johannesburg were captured by Chris without any musical accompaniment,  which was then edited together before sending to Karl to imagine the music they are dancing to. The soundtrack was created from field recordings from Brixton where Karl lives.

The result is hypnotising, and an imaginative way to show dance isn’t restricted to the music you hear. Music can be created to fit you.

Over the course of a year, Random Acts will showcase 260 commissioned three minute films chosen for their original expressions of creativity, allowing established and emerging talent to create their own pieces, without having to fit to the conventions of conservative arts television.
